1.01 / Website Development

Web development in Sri Lanka

Business websites, landing pages and portfolios. Fast, mobile first and built to bring in leads.

A website earns its cost in one of two ways: it brings in enquiries, or it saves you time answering the same question forty times a month. If it does neither, it is a brochure nobody asked for. We build for the first two.

Built for a phone on mobile data

Most of your visitors arrive on a mid-range Android over 4G, not a laptop on fibre. That constraint drives the build: pages served as complete HTML, self-hosted fonts, images sized and compressed properly. A site that takes eight seconds to appear has already lost the enquiry.

Structured so Google can read it

One page per thing people actually search for, real headings, descriptive links, structured data, a sitemap. This is the same work we do for SEO clients, done at build time rather than retrofitted a year later when the rankings have not come.

Pointed at an enquiry, not a page view

Every page ends somewhere: a WhatsApp link that already names what the person was reading, a form that reaches you, a number that dials. Traffic that never becomes a conversation is a vanity metric.

Yours, not rented

The domain is registered in your name, the code is handed over, and hosting sits on an account you control. If you stop working with us, the site keeps running. We would rather earn the next project than hold the last one hostage.

How it runs

Four steps

  1. 01

    Talk

What the site is for, who it is for, and what a good month looks like.

  2. 02

    Plan

Sitemap, page-by-page scope, timeline and a quote, before anything is built.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and development in one team, reviewed in stages, not revealed at the end.

  4. 04

    Grow

Launch, Search Console, analytics, and a support arrangement if you want one.

Questions

Before you ask

How long does a business website take?
It depends on the page count and how quickly content and photos come back from your side, which is usually the real bottleneck. We put a timeline in writing at the Plan stage and it forms part of the quote.
Can I update the site myself afterwards?
Yes, if you want that. We will tell you honestly whether a content management system is worth the extra cost for your site, because for a five page brochure site it often is not, and the maintenance burden is real.
Do you work with businesses outside Colombo?
Yes. We are based in Katunayake and work with clients across Sri Lanka. Most of the process happens over WhatsApp and calls, with in-person meetings where they are genuinely useful.
What about hosting, the domain and backups?
That is service 1.08, Domain, Hosting and Care: domain setup, hosting, backups, updates and ongoing support after launch, arranged so the accounts are in your name.

Let's build something beyond.
